Collaborate 2

Four partnerships testing resource sharing as a way of helping Supporting People providers to reduce costs.

The first Collaborate project explored ways in which smaller Supporting People providers could tender for new contracts collaboratively.

Using the insights from this project, Collaborate 2 aims to extend its impact by focusing on resource sharing.

Four pilot schemes based in Nottingham, London, Durham and Bolton will develop and test resource sharing models between SP providers. They will identify areas where resources can be shared and costs reduced, focusing primarily on infrastructure items such as ICT, finance, fundraising and office supplies.

Partners will also participate in a learning network so that experiences, approaches and problems can be shared.

Insights from the ongoing project evaluation about costs savings and other efficiencies identified by the pilot projects will result in a range of resources for other providers.
