The Internet of things (IoT) is changing the way in which businesses manage their assets and opening up new opportunities to intelligently understand the needs of customers. Over the past year HACT and the Connected Home Consortium have developed an in-depth knowledge of the Internet of Things, connected technology and the intersection of these with current housing technology.
Our work has helped many housing providers realise the opportunities that IoT technology offers housing and has influenced a number of technology vendors to enter the housing market. This expertise and experience ensures that we are well-positioned to help determine key areas of potential business improvement for housing providers and which, if any, of the available and emerging technologies are most appropriate to achieve this goal.
Aim: To identify the service areas and business processes where housing providers may employ connected technology to enhance outcomes and reduce costs and to indicate which existing and future technologies may be appropriate to achieve these aims.
Outputs: Based on the evidence collected from investigating the available technology and your own priorities for business improvement, we will conduct viability testing and provide strategic recommendations for further engagement with connected technology. Housing providers will gain insights into available technology, potential application, and clear recommendations on how to take forward their connected technology strategies.
Timetable: Immediate start, completion within 6-8 weeks.
