Learn how to analyse your social value calculations to gain insight into where you’re making the biggest impact in your organisation.

Wellbeing Valuation will be familiar to many in the housing sector by now, but once you’ve got your results, what do you do? At this masterclass, you will learn how to analyse your social value calculations to gain insight into where you’re making the biggest impact and how to report on your figures in a clear and responsible way to various audiences.

Interactive sessions during this masterclass will help you to:

  • Understand the background to social impact measurement and the Wellbeing Valuation approach;
  • Analyse your findings effectively;
  • Test analysis skills in different scenarios;
  • Adjust your reporting style depending on audience; and
  • Understand the do’s and don’ts of presenting your social value figures in reports.

Who should attend?
The training assumes some prior knowledge. It is aimed at those who have used the Value Calculator or Value Insight to calculate the social value of a project, programme, or whole organization, although anyone working in communications or strategy should also benefit.

Who delivers the training?
The Masterclass is delivered by HACT staff, including the Social Impact Advisers who are experts in Wellbeing Valuation and have worked with housing providers of all shapes and sizes to develop robust and systematic procedures for measuring the difference they make.
This training is based on HACT’s Wellbeing Valuation Approach and associated guide, Measuring the Social Impact of Community Investment: A Guide to using the Wellbeing Valuation Approach, to be used in conjunction with HACT’s Value Calculator and Practice notes. For further background information please see HACT’s publications. We will also be handing out materials on the day.
