Are you a contract manager or bid writer for an organisation working with the housing sector? Have you considered HACT’s approach to social impact measurement when responding to tenders, but need support to embed a consistent methodology to evidence your achievements? This masterclass focuses on the practical steps that will prepare you to embed social impact measurement.
Working in partnership with Towers & Hamlins and echelon Consultancy, HACT has developed a social value and procurement toolkit covering the life cycle of procurement, from scoping through to tender evaluation, mobilisation, contract management and reporting.
This workshop will introduce you to the toolkit and take you through HACT’s Wellbeing Valuation Approach, with a detailed look at practical steps necessary to embed social value successfully throughout each stage of the procurement process.
This workshop will help you to:
- Understand the background to social value measurement and the Wellbeing Valuation Approach;
- Identify and prioritise social value outcomes when responding to tenders;
- Identify what to measure and how to collect any necessary data;
- Use the Social Value Bank (via the Value Calculator or Value Insight) to develop your response to social value requirements within your tender;
- Demonstrate social value achievements against targets using a systematic approach;
- Maximise the social value you can report as a contractor; and
- Understand responsibilities for reporting on the social value generated.

This masterclass is aimed at Contractors working with the housing sector who aspire to successfully incorporate social value in response to tenders, evaluation against targets and in reporting.
