Social impact is now a buzzword in funding and policy circles, and housing providers in the UK are under increasing pressure to more clearly articulate and evidence their social and economic value.
SIAA and HACT’s high level roundtable will provide an overview of the state of social impact in the housing sector so far and contrast it to work being done in other sectors. The event will ask on what basis the housing sector’s impact should be assessed; whether there is scope for a common framework or shared language with which to evidence and communicate housing providers' social impact; and what potential for collaboration exists in working towards this goal.
The day will be chaired by Jeremy Nicholls, CEO of the SROI Network and SIAA Trustee; and there will be contributions from
- Brian Johnson, Chief Executive of Moat;
- Larry Gold, Director of Finance and Support at Trafford Housing Trust;
- Professor David Mullins and Vanessa Wilkes of the Third Sector Research Centre (TSRC).
